The Brief
Victoria’s secret is an American brand with outlets across the world. They aim for every store to follow their retail design and lighting specification exactly. That meant we had to follow an extremely complex design manual and drawing pack, with specifications that were very different from those normally used in the UK.
Our Approach
Our first step was to decipher and understand the drawings and specifications in order to carry out the work. As equipment was being supplied from the US, we had to carefully manage our timescales to ensure there were enough parts to complete the work.
The Solution
We re-wired each of the 630 light fittings as they were manufactured to US specifications. Our technicians also carried out extra work ensuring that the Building Management System could communicate with an American-based control system, which required an additional 2,000 cables being installed. The project was extremely complex, yet our knowledge and flexibility meant that the store opened on time and to budget, and is now a dazzling retail experience. 79 Group have delivered several Victoria Secrets and Pink projects including Brighton, Milton Keynes and Oxford Westgate Centre.
Following on from PC on Thursday I would like to place on record my gratitude for the work carried out by 79 Group at BT Tahiti. The standard of work carried out was extremely high and the attitude of your employees on site was exemplary. Special credit should go to Leo, Chris and Jacob for their professionalism during some difficult times due to constant specification changes. They are a credit to your company and I can only see success on future projects when they are involved. I am looking forward to future projects where I will be involved with 79 Group.
